【十二今釵】‧作品介紹‧新一代設計展平面銀賞作品

作品簡介 / Introduction：
精緻細膩、華麗繁瑣的工筆畫風，作品「十二今釵」系列，故事靈感來自中國古典小
說-《紅樓夢》裡，十二金釵的女性群像縮影；以「戲劇性」的服飾和精細的構圖來呈
現作品張力，創造現代十二「今」釵。
古典故事中對女性象徵意涵，傳頌至今依舊不變，故同樣身為女性創作者透過作品傳
達現代女性意識，在千年社會包袱的壓抑與抒解中，綻放女性之美。
內容包含：女兒、女力、女書、女聲、女戀、女權、女支等。
「十二今釵」分六張負面形象和六張正面形象:
負面形象代表：期望破繭而出的自由。正面形象代表：成為展翅高飛的自信 。
圖中出現的「線」：負面形象代表─束縛；正面形象代表─掌握。

Delicate, careful, glamorous, and complex painting
strokes are the style of Nai-Yuan Chang. 
The inspiration of her series of “Twelve modern ladies”
came from the Chinese Classical Novel of “Hong Lou Meng
(Dreams of the Red Mansion)”.
In the classical novel, there are twelve female characters representing
the different types of women who stay in the mansion.
She uses dramatic clothing and detailed composition
to emphasize the picture's tension
and to create the images of the modern ladies.
The artist, as a female herself, wants to express
the ideas of modern feminism: Through the relief of the thousands years
burden of the traditional society's oppression,
displays the beauty of the female.
Contents include Daughter, Female Power, Female Writing,
Female Voice, Female Love, Feminine Rights, etc.
The pictures of the twelve modern ladies
show six positive images and six negative images:

Negative – Images of longing to break free
Positive – Images showing the confidence after flying high

There is a "thread" on all the paintings which represents "confinement"
in the negative images, but "self control" in the positive images.
